ANARCHISTS ORGANISE PISS-UP IN BREWERY

To celebrate the second birthday of the establishment of ASN in November 2007, members organised a tour of Nottingham's Castle Rock Brewery. Hangovers contributed to it taking this long to post up the announcement.

PHD SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE IN ANARCHIST STUDIES

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR MASTERS IN ACTIVISM AND SOCIAL CHANGE

The masters programme in activism and social change at the Department of Geography, Leeds University is preparing to go into it's second year. You can find all the details, including information on scholarships here

Gareth Gordon has recently finished doctoral research at Cardiff University (Wales, UK) offering a deconstructive reading of a broad spectrum of anarchist writing, focussing on the workings of authority within the texts concerned. This research is aimed at investigating the potential outlines of what an anarchist literary theory might be.

Gareth's MA dissertation "Horizons of Change: Deconstruction and the Evanescence of Authority" (2000) is available online at the Research on Anarchism forum:

He is currently teaching on a 1st year undergraduate course on Cultural Criticism in Cardiff University and a 2nd year course on "Culture and Representation" at the University of Glamorgan.
